Lowell Hardesty III

December 12, 1958 — October 31, 2017

Lowell S. Hardesty, III “Trae” of Cleveland, Missouri passed away due to heart failure at his home on Tuesday, October 31st 2017. Trae was born December 12th, 1958 in Kansas City, MO and was 58 years old at the time of his death. He was the 2nd oldest of four children born to Lowell S. Hardesty, Jr and Karolyn Kae Hardesty of Louisburg, KS.
Trae was a man of many talents; a skilled welder, mechanic, heavy equipment operator, concrete finisher and an “inventor” to name a few. If it had a motor, Trae would make it go fast and if it had wheels, he would make it pop wheelies. Trae never met stranger. He was one that would give the shirt right off of his back. He called himself a “know it all” and if you said he couldn't do it, he would make sure that he could.
Loved ones that will truly miss Trae, until they meet again, are his parents Lowell and Kae Hardesty, his son, Chad Hardesty, his daughter, Amber Ramsey (Raine Ramsey), his life partner, Tracy Inman, his sisters Penny Hardesty (Jim Mohr), Marsha Adams (Jim Adams), and Liz Ellison (Mike Ellison), the mother of his two children, Janet Hardesty, and his grandson Archer K. Ramsey, whom adored his “Papa”. He also had nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and many friends that played huge roles in his life.
We will be having a celebration of Trae’s life on Saturday, November 11th at Rutlader Outpost Cowboy Church, 335th and Old Metcalf, Louisburg at 4:00pm and will continue the celebration at the American Legion Post 250, Louisburg at 5:00pm. All are encouraged to come and share stories and celebrate. Trae was always the life of party, he loved to tell jokes and make everyone smile. He loved his friends and family more than anything and seeing them happy made him happy.
If desired, memorial contributions in memory of Trae may be made to his grandson’s education fund that is being set up.  Please make the checks out to Archer Ramsey and they may be sent to the Johnson County Funeral Chapel.
