Agnes Kranz

December 30, 1928 — August 31, 2019

Agnes Kranz, 90, passed away Saturday, August 31, 2019 surrounded by her loving family in Overland Park, Kansas.

She is survived by her two sons, Harty Kranz (Roberta), Micol Kranz (Jana); five grandchildren, Ashleigh Greenman (Daniel), Ryan Kranz (Lindsey), Marietanne Nolte, Mariah Nolte, Billy Brimblecom (Allison); and nine great-grandchildren, Elle, Reese, Josiah, Jaeden, Kenton, Tia, Makenna, Leo and Goldie; along with many close family and friends.

The second eldest of four children, Agnes was born December 30th, 1928 to Antoni and Elisabeth Kelter in Düren, Germany; where she lived until September,1954. In her early years, Agnes worked various jobs in Germany, including a local vineyard where she would pick grapes.

As a young woman in Germany, Agnes met her husband, Richard, at a local dance. They were married on September 27, 1952 in Einbeck, Germany. In 1954, Agnes and Richard, along with their young son Harty, immigrated to the United States and moved to Kansas City. Agnes spent her days as a devoted wife, loving mother, extraordinary Oma (grandmother and great-grandmother), and dedicated homemaker.

Agnes was truly remarkable with the most beautiful soul. She was gentle, funny, forgiving, thoughtful, self-sacrificing, honest, patient, hard-working, gracious and giving. Agnes was instantly loved and adored by all who knew her. She was a fantastic cook and relished spending time with family and friends. She truly was an inspiration to all.

Agnes will be missed dearly, loved always, and never forgotten by those who hold her dear to their hearts.
