Bernadine Cobb, born August 14th, 1923, passed into eternal life on September 4th, 2017.
Brenna is remembered with love by her children, Pam Lynch (Tim) and Mike Cobb (Mary), 6 grandchildren and spouses: Jennifer Shaw (Blake), John Cobb (Jennifer), Josh Lynch (Dana), Shannon Cossette(Adam), Justin Lynch (Jennifer), and Cayce Richardson (Tim); 14 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  She will be greatly missed by her sister, Elaine Kramer, brother, Laverne Mauck, and sisters-in-law Joanne and Shirley.
Brenna was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Emma Mauck, husband, John K. Cobb, sister, Bonnie Czerenda, brother, Dr. Harold Mauck; and brothers-in-law Mike Czerenda and Robert Kramer.
She grew up on the family farm near Hoxie, KS and later graduated from Axtell Hospital School of Nursing.  She earned a B.A. in Nursing and a Master’s degree from Ottawa University in Kansas City, MO.
Bernadine devoted 32 years to St. Luke’s Hospital, in Kansas City, MO, serving primarily as Patient Care Manager for prenatal, gynecological and pediatric nursing.  She loved “her babies” and worked tirelessly for them and their families.
Brenna’s life was full and rewarding.  She worked hard, accomplished much, and left a strong legacy for a grateful family that will remember her with immense affection and respect as “Mom,” “Sis,” “Nana,” “Grana-Nana,” “Aunt,” and “friend.”  Shortly after her 94th birthday, she joined her beloved husband in heavenly rest.
“Well done, Good and faithful servant” (Matthew 25:23).
Visitation will be from 10:30am-11:00am on Monday, September 11th, 2017 at the  Johnson County Funeral Chapel followed by a funeral service at 11:00am. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army Children’s Shelter, 3637 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111.
