Elizabeth G. Kilroy, 96, of Kansas City MO. passed away August 7, 2017 at the Olathe Hospice House surrounded by her family. She was born November 24, 1920 in Kansas City Missouri to Charles and Hazel (Scranton) Gentry. She graduated from Southwest High School in 1938. After graduating she headed to Washington D.C. where she received a Liberal Arts Degree from Fairmont College. After college, Elizabeth married James L. Kilroy II in 1943 and to this union were born three sons: Larry, Tom, and Bob. Her family remembers her as a loving mother, grandmother and a fiercely independent woman who always handled everything. Elizabeth's life passion was interior design. She went on to own two interior design businesses Betty Kilroy Interiors and Betty's Interiors until 1982 when she retired. She was a member of the American Association of Interior Design, Country Club UMC and later in life St. Andrews Episcopal Church. She was proceeded in death by her husband James L. Kilroy II in 1986. She is survived by her three sons: James L. Kilroy, III, Thomas G. Kilroy and Robert D. Kilroy; Five grandchildren: James L. Kilroy IV, Tyler C. Kilroy, Jill Dillingham, Thomas G. Kilroy, Jr. and Charles J. Kilroy; Great-Grandchildren: Chris Kilroy, Halsey Dillingham, Lane Dillingham, Edith Kilroy and Thomas Kilroy.
