Helen Bull

Helen Rose Bull (97) passed away on Saturday, February 17, 2018. Helen was born in Newark, New Jersey to Merrick & Anna Ross on May 7,1920. Helen was proud to have grown up and live in New Jersey up until just a few years ago. In recent years, she found her home in Overland Park, Kansas.  Helen was a member of the Eclipse Chapter #226 of the Eastern Star where she earned her 50 year pin and was a Past Matron. Helen enjoyed cross stitching, crossword puzzles and reading, but most of all she loved her family and pets. Helen is preceded in death by her husband, Harold W. Bull, her daughter Anne Wittel, her parents, Merrick & Anna Ross, her sister, Myrtle Robinson and many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and friends. Helen is survived by her son Edward M. Bull  (Joan), her son in-law Robert Wittel, her grandchildren Debra Fotheringham (Steve), Anne Kohnle (Douglas), Robyn Vitelli (Eddie), Edward W. Bull (Pamela); great grandchildren, Gabrielle & Branden Kohnle, Nickolas & Ella Rose Vitelli, Jared & Dylan Fotheringham, Alexander & Tyler Bull, as well as many much loved nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday evening, February 19, 2018 from 6-8pm at Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf Avenue, Overland Park, Kansas 66210. and on Wednesday February 21, 2018 from 4-8pm  at Costello Runyon Funeral home 568 Middlesex Ave. Metuchen New Jersey. A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on Thursday February 22, 2018 at Costello Runyon with burial following at Arlington Cemetery. Helen had an amazing sense of humor, was the best story teller, and had an opinion on every topic! She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions to The American Heart Association or Crossroads Hospice and Palliative Care of Kansas City.
