John Farr

John "Jim" J. Farr, of Overland Park, KS passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at the age of 69.

Jim was the loving son of the late John and Catherine Farr; devoted husband of Cassandra Farr; beloved father of John Luc, Alex (Elizabeth), Austin (Lizzi) and Shawn; cherished grandfather of Charlize, Jackson, Sophia, Rylie, McKenzie and Jol and dear brother of Debbie (Mark) Talcott and Sandra (Gordon "Gordy") Green. Jim is also survived by 1 niece, 2 nephews and many friends. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Jim graduated from Midland High School in Midland, MI and went on to Michigan State University where he obtained his Bachelors degree in Political Science. During his career, Jim worked at Black and Veatch as the Director of Human Resources from 1977 to 2004. He continued his career in Human Resources and was currently employed at CH2M Hill as the Director of Human Resources/Talent Manager.

Jim's presence was bigger than life. He had a big heart and was always willing to help anyone in need and did it with a smile on his face. Jim enjoyed playing hockey and golf with his friends but he mostly enjoyed spending time with his family.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS  66210 with a visitation starting at 1:00 PM.
