Kenneth "KC" Boyd

December 27, 1932 — February 27, 2018

Kenneth Claude (KC) Boyd passed away on February 27, 2018. Visitation will be at Johnson County Chapel at 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, Kansas 66210 on March 8, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. and funeral service on March 9th at 10 a.m. at the same location.

Kenneth Boyd was born on December 27, 1932 to Claude Boyd and Mary Edna Minton on December 27, 1932 in Pecos, Texas. He is survived by his wife Jo Ann Boyd, two sons, Craig Boyd and Brian Boyd, two step-children Melissa and Kenneth Koch, brother Edwin Boyd and seven grandchildren, Anthony and Nicholas Arton, Nisha Rogers (Cameron), Cody and Brennan Boyd, Kayla and Dalton Boyd and several great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his late wife, Kay Ulacher Boyd, daughter Kathy Arton, brother Bob Boyd and sister Mary Card.

He served his country as an Air Force military policeman during the Korean War in North Africa. Ken Boyd (KC) was employed as an electrician by the Santa Fe Railroad for twelve years and Ford motor company at Claycomo for 37 years. Ken enjoyed woodworking, traveling, movies and dancing. The family would like to thank all our friends and family, the caring neighborhood of Highland Village, the loving staff at Brookdale College Square Alzheimer’s and dementia memory center for their support and concern during the last few years of Ken’s  life.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the Alzheimer’s and Dementia organization.
