Norma Hoy

Norma J. Hoy, 95, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Norma was born on May 19, 1922 to Frank Blevins and Ora Haggard in El Dorado Springs, MO.  She grew up in Nevada, Missouri where she graduated from High School. On December 24, 1941 she married Jim Hoy of Fort Scott, Kansas. They were married for 50 years until his death in 1992.  She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Ann Hoy of St. Joseph, Missouri, and her daughter, Nancy Montee of Tulsa, Oklahoma; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  She will be remembered for her pretty smile and as a loving mom, grandma and GG.  A visitation will be held from 1-2 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2 PM, on Thursday, April 12th, at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS. Burial will follow at Johnson County Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.
