Patrick Hennessey

April 18, 1929 — August 19, 2017

Patrick Michael Hennessey, 88, passed away on August 19, 2017. He was born on April 18, 1929 at the family home in Kansas City, MO. He was one of five children of John and Amanda Hennessey. He is a Catholic and a member of Cure of Ars Church and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Redemptorist Church.

He graduated from Lillis High School and attended Findley Engineering College. He was an Eagle Scout in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the U.S.S. Kidd for approximately four years during the Korean conflict. He was the founder of Hennessey Sheet Metal, Inc. in 1976 and continued as owner until 2009.

Preceding him death were his wife, Ann; his parents, John and Amanda; two brothers, John and Eugene; and his sister, Mary Janice Hennessey.

Survivors include his sister, Josephine; his dog, Rosy; many nieces and nephews; and many loving friends.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10AM on Saturday, August 26, at Cure of Ars Church, 9401 Mission Rd, Leawood, KS 66206, with burial to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Raytown, MO.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Cure of Ars Church or Crossroads Hospice, 11150 Thompson Ave, Lenexa, KS 66219, or a charity of your choice.
