IN LOVING MEMORY OF

Cindy Kay

Gray

Obituary

Cindy Kay Gray, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2026, surrounded by those she loved most.

She was born November 6, 1949, in Metairie, Louisiana, to James Bell Lee and Lily Dorothy Lee. In her early years, Cindy’s family relocated many times before settling in the Kansas City area, which she proudly called home for much of her life. She attended Loretto High School, where she formed friendships that would last a lifetime.

Cindy touched the lives of many with her kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength. Her gentle spirit, warm smile, and steady presence were a comfort to all who knew her, and her absence will be deeply felt.

Cindy dedicated her life to her family and community, always offering a helping hand and words of encouragement. She found joy in tending her garden, attending her grandchildren’s sporting events and activities, traveling, painting, and—most of all—creating lasting memories with those she cherished.

She is survived by her loving husband, Mike Gray; her son, Shawn Nault; daughter‑in‑law, Debra Nault; and her treasured grandchildren, Logan and Lucy Nault. She is also survived by her sister, Susan Arnold, as well as her extended family of beloved nieces and nephews, and countless friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Heart to Heart International (https://www.hearttoheart.org/) where Cindy was an active volunteer.

May Cindy rest in peace, and may her memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
