Dorothy Elaine Boyer

Dorothy "Bonnie" Boyer was born on January 11, 1939, in Kansas City, Kansas, to loving and hardworking parents. Her memories of growing up with her sisters were shaped by a Catholic upbringing, strong family values, and a modest and frugal lifestyle.

In February 1960, Bonnie married Don, and together they built a life centered around family, raising three children: Karen Boyer, Kevin (Jeanne) Boyer, and Christopher (Janie) Boyer.

Bonnie will be remembered for her vivacious personality, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to her family and the causes she held dear. She was particularly passionate about supporting others through team fundraising and encouraging the development and leadership of young women. Her enthusiasm, kindness, and positive support touched the lives of many.

Bonnie leaves behind her sister, Diane Taheri; her three children and their families; and five grandchildren: Korynn Grenert, Kevin Grenert, Mikayla Boyer, Jeremy Adkins, and Julie Adkins.

Bonnie’s family would like to acknowledge the ongoing love and support of her immediate family, including her sister, Diane; her husband, Mehdi; and her daughter, Sheila, as well as her generous and watchful neighbors, led by Karen Lemons, whose kindness, companionship, and care helped keep Bonnie engaged and vibrant throughout her final years.

Her loving spirit, encouragement, and joyful presence are deeply missed and will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
