Larry Walter Creamer, 90, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026, at Garden Terrace Nursing Home in Shawnee, Kansas.

Larry was born on December 17, 1935, in Wakefield, Nebraska, to Walter Creamer and Ruby Wilma Koontz. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, attaining the rank of Specialist Third Class (SP3). He was honorably discharged from Fort Benning, Georgia, on September 27, 1957.

Throughout his life, Larry was known for his strong work ethic. As a young man, he worked in an auto body shop and delivered pianos, later serving as a firefighter for thirty years at Station 11 in the city of Lincoln, Nebraska. On his days off, he also delivered oil, always willing to work hard to provide for his family.

Larry was the beloved husband of Reva Maxine Creamer, née Poppen, who preceded him in death. Together they built a loving family and shared many years of cherished memories.

He is survived by his sons, Richard Creamer of Loveland, Colorado, and Rodney Creamer of Sugar Creek, Missouri. He also leaves behind his treasured grandchildren, Joshua S. Creamer, Tori E. Walker, Alexandria I. Creamer, Julia Creamer, and Nathan Creamer; and his great-grandchildren, Alexis Creamer and Lyla Creamer.

Larry is also survived by his sisters, Judy Krueger, Rosemary Ley, and Leola Morton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Creamer and Ruby Wilma Koontz; his wife, Reva Creamer; his infant brother, Leo Parkus Creamer; and his siblings, Sonja Clingerman, and Faunia DeWitt.

A man of simple pleasures, Larry enjoyed re-caning furniture, restoring old cars, and spending evenings watching classic westerns on television. He was a lifelong Lutheran whose faith remained an important part of his life.

A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 22, at The Heart of God Fellowship in Buckner, Missouri, with Bob Capps officiating. A reception will follow the service in the church fellowship hall.

Larry will be remembered for his quiet strength, unwavering dedication to his family, and the honest, hardworking life he lived. His kindness, steadfast spirit, and love for those closest to him will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
