Philip William Feehan, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday August 14,2026 at Delmar Gardens of Lenexa.

He was born on November 23, 1932 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kathryn and Edward Feehan. He moved to Kansas City at the age of five. He attended St. Agnes High School and continued to pursue his educational growth including a Master’s degree in Industrial Safety.

He had his first date with the love of his life on graduation night from high school. Phil and Joann celebrated their 70th anniversary on January 21st, 2026.

Phil proudly worked as an instrument mechanic for Procter and Gamble for 38 years. He took personal ownership in maintaining work instruments. He responded whenever called after hours to service equipment. He was forever grateful for the opportunity to be a part of the ‘Procter family.’

As the devoted father to eleven children, he mentored the value of a strong work ethic both at work and away from work. He was a spouse, a father, a teacher, a neighbor, a builder, a community supporter, an avid lover of classic and Irish music, and a friend. He enjoyed sharing his sense of humor, including the occasional unanticipated growl!

Phil served his country in the Army, with a tour in Korea. This experience impacted him throughout his life. It served a role in adopting 5 of his children. He was honored to be a participant in a return visit to Korea as a veteran.

Phil demonstrated the value of giving back to community. He served on the St. Agnes Parish Council and the St. Agnes Social Concerns Council. He taught math, trigonometry, and calculus at evening classes for those pursuing a high school GED. He participated in activities supporting immigrants into the community, helping to ensure they were physically, nutritionally, and culturally welcomed into their new community. He donated 158 units (19 gallons) of blood to the Community Blood Center!

Phil is survived by his wife Frances Joann Feehan. He is survived by his children John (Deb), Megan, Maura (Rick), Dan (Ann), Tom (Vicki), Bridget (Jim), Soo (Todd), Kimiko (Louis), Jennifer (Jeff), and Dennis. He is survived by his brother Edward (Brenda) and sister Karen (Fred).

He was proceeded in death by his parents Kathryn and Edward Feehan, his sister Mary, his brother Vincent, and his son Sam.

He was the proud father of 11 children, 30 grandchildren, 42 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren!
