James Cartmell

James LeRoy Cartmell, 80, Overland Park, passed away on December 31, 2020.  James was born February 1, 1940 in Kansas City, Missouri to Albert and Viola Cartmell.  He graduated from North East High School and was an Eagle Scout.  He attended college, taught swimming and was a part time bar tender.  His life-long career was in the Insurance business.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Bruce Cartmell.   He is survived by his wife, Beverly; Son, Jeff Cartmell; daughter, Jennifer Cartmell; sister, Janice Hayes and her children: Diana, Donna and Doug Hayes; and five grandchildren:  Jill Stevens, Jessie, Jonathan, Dylan Cartmell and Megan Cartmell.
