Jean Margaret Buck, age 91 of Overland Park, KS passed away Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at the Good Shepard Home in Concordia MO.

Jean was born June 14, 1929, in Emma, MO to Lorenz and Frieda Heermann. In 1953, she married the late Donald Edward Buck and raised two children. She was a homemaker while her children were young and then spent over 10 years working part and full time at Hallmark Cards with her husband Don. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, visiting with friends and family, and being actively involved with Bethany Lutheran Church in Overland Park, KS.

Jean is survived by a son, Jeff (Sheila) of Houston, TX, daughter, Pam (Steve Warger) of Blue Springs, MO, three grandchildren, US Navy Lt Hannah Buck of Corpus Christi, TX, US Navy Lt Madison Buck of Whidbey Island, WA, and Ryan Buck of Grapevine, TX, her two brothers, Paul Heermann of Concordia, MO and Neal Heermann of Columbia, MO.  In-laws, Linda Heermann of Columbia, MO, Marilyn Schelp and Francis & Larry Nienhiser of Lexington, MO

A graveside family memorial service for Jean will be held Thursday, September 17th, 1 p.m. at Johnson County Memorial Gardens in Overland Park, KS where Jean and Don will be laid together in their final resting place.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church – Lutheran Layman’s League, 9101 Lamar Ave, Overland Park, KS 66212
