Martha Lee Caulfield, 87, from Overland Park, KS, passed away on April 23, 2021, from natural causes at Ascension Living Center, where she lived for the past 5 years.

Martha was born on September 16, 1933, in Kansas City, Kansas, to the parents Leonard and Jane Phillips.

She was married to Calvin L. Caulfield and the mother of 5 children - two daughters (Debbie & Wendy) and three sons (Tim, Randy & Steve).

She was loved by all her family and anyone who knew her. Her devoted, kind, caring, loving heart, and willingness to always be there to support her family and friends made us so thankful to have her in our lives. She was a talented artist, fantastic cook, seamstress, cake designer, decorator, gardener, wood worker, costume designer, a giver and a helper. Nothing was too hard for her. She always found a way with her endless energy to make it happen. She cherished her grandchildren and loved the times she had with them. Martha also had a special love for her dogs and her cat Suki from long ago.

She was preceded in death by Calvin L. Caulfield in 2004, her daughter Wendy L. Caulfield-Thonney in 2010, and brother Leonard Phillips.

Survivors include:

Sisters and Brothers -Twyla Spencer, Patty Churchman, Vic Phillips, Terry Phillips (Martha)

Daughter - Debbie L. Ray (Sam)

Sons - Timothy L. Caulfield (Julie), Randall L. Caulfield, Steven L. Caulfield (Carmen)

12 Grandchildren and 18 Great-Grandchildren

Surviving Grand and include:

Debbie’s Family - Rachel Taylor, Matt Ray, Jordan Ray, Hunter Ray, Jeff Ray, Chris Ray. 15 Great Grandchildren.

Tim’s Family - Jessica Demas, Katie Shay, 3 Great Grandchildren.

Steve’s Family - Asher Caulfield, Camden Caulfield, Jonathon Kimberley, Andrea Kimberley

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 29, at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, located at 11200 Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park, KS, 66210.  Family meeting after at the sun flower room and outdoor courtyard at Ascension Living Center at 11901 Rosewood, Leawood, KS 662209

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepard Hospice or KC Pet Project .
