Officer Freddie Joe Castro, 23 of Overland Park, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Freddie Joe was born in Kansas City, MO. on November 4, 1997 to Michaela Robles and Joe Frank Castro (deceased).

Freddie Joe is survived by his mom, Michaela Robles; brother, Dominic Pacheco (Tiarra Soto); his sister, Marisa Castro; beloved nephew, Ashton and nieces: Jocelyn and Ariana; Grandmother's: Tina Robles and Dolores Castro; Uncles: Carlos Gallardo Jr. and Richard Robles; Aunts: Michelle Castro, Loretta Fierro (Nino John Fierro), Monica Robles; extended Robles and Castro family members; and beloved friend, Lee’s Summit Police Officer, Madison Madden.

Freddie will forever be remembered for his perseverance and determination. A Shawnee Mission West graduate, he was a mere nineteen years old when he first joined the Overland Park Police family. Though he was too young to be a police officer, he joined the Police Department as a Motorist Assist Officer. Once he turned 21, Freddie submitted his application for police officer and quickly joined the ranks. Monday, August 23rd, 2021 marked his two-year anniversary as a Police officer for Overland Park, Kansas. During his tenure, Freddie received various recognition for his civil service. Freddie will be best remembered by his fellow "men & women in blue" as always happy and with a smile on his face.

His family will always remember Freddie Joe as a loving son, grandson, brother, tio, nephew, and cousin. He has now joined the kingdom of heaven and with that infectious smile, is keeping watch over his family, friends and fellow officers.
