Pamela “Pam” Jean Brown, 73, of Lenexa, Kansas, passed away into the loving arms of Jesus Christ on November 26th, 2020.

She was born on April 10th, 1947, to Alfred and Maxine Pastrick in Chicago, Illinois.  Pam’s family moved to the Leawood, KS area when she was in grade school where she graduated from Shawnee Mission East High School in 1965.  Pam attended Kansas State University and was a member of the K-Steppers, KSU’s baton team that performed at football games.  She received her degree in education with a minor in art, graduating in 1969.

Pam married Raymond Brown on August 16th, 1969.  They recently celebrated 51 years of marriage.  Pam was a member of the Kansas City chapter of Beta Sigma Phi for over 40 years where she served as President and several other executive and committee chair positions.  She was active in church and served on the altar guild, sang in the choir, participated in Bible studies, and assisted with VBS.  Pam volunteered her time generously with the Johnson County Christmas Bureau, Ronald McDonald House, Good Shepherd Mission, as well as many others.  In her free time, Pam enjoyed crafting, especially with her grandchildren, visiting bed and breakfasts, antiquing, and socializing with family and friends.

Pam leaves behind her husband, Raymond Brown; children Tamra (David) Metzger, Shelby Brown, and Travis (Julie) Brown; grandchildren, Jamie, Lindsey, and Braden Metzger, and Henley and Kensington Brown; her sister Patricia Miers; and nieces and nephews.

Pam will be inurned at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.  Please make any memorial donations to Johnson County Christmas Bureau, http://jccb.org/donate , or the Alzheimer’s Association, http://act.alz.org/donate .
