Steven (Steve) Ray Wilson, 75, passed away on November 28, 2021. Steve was born August 17, 1946 in Newton, Kansas. He was the first son of Woodrow Francis Wilson and Nina Mae Brill Wilson.  Steve attended Newton High School and went on to study structural engineering at Kansas State University.

During his time at K-State, Steve met, and then married Janet Lynn Doerr. They moved to St. Louis, Missouri for Steve to follow his career in structural engineering. Steve and Jan had two children, Michelle Wilson McNeive (Jeremy) and Kristin Wilson Carlson (Chris) and four grandchildren: Tyler Ryne McNeive, Addison Reece McNeive, Hayden Whitman Carlson, and Harper Eileen Carlson.

Steve was an avid scuba diver and enjoyed traveling the world and underwater photography. As a youth, Steve was an Eagle Scout and learned to always be prepared for anything. Steve loved trains since he was little and told great stories of his father’s travels along the Santa Fe Railroad. He enjoyed teaching his daughters and grandchildren about trains, buildings and how to fix anything.
