Brent Allen Coffelt, 50, passed away on November 11, 2019. He was born on December 6th, 1968 In Kansas City, Mo. along with his twin, Brad Jay Coffelt, to Jerry Coffelt and Donna (Bryant) Coffelt.
Brent grew up in Overland Park and attended Shawnee Mission East High School where he graduated in 1987. He then attended college at the University of Kansas. He worked for several years with his father helping with the two family-owned auto parts stores, Foxwood Auto Supply and Abner’s Auto Parts. Brent then went to work at Ozark Automotive Distributors in Kansas City as well as worked part-time for Fed Ex.
In 2013, Brent moved to Rowlett TX, a suburb of Dallas. There he worked many years for O’Reilly’s automotive. He had recently made a career change in July 2019, going to work for Inogen in Richardson TX.
Brent was always known for his infectious smile, sense of humor and charitable heart.
All through his life he made great friendships and was loved by all who knew him. He was truly one who never met a stranger.
He loved simple things. He loved animals, fishing, feeding the ducks at the local pond. His one great love was that of playing the guitar. He was hard working, honest, loyal and very giving.
Brent was preceded in death by his father, Jerry. He leaves behind his mother, Donna, of Overland Park and his twin brother Brad and sister-in-law, Crystal Coffelt, of Rockwall TX. He also leaves behind many friends, family members and loved ones that will miss him dearly.
In lieu of flowers, the family request is that you either donate to a charity of your choice or, and more preferred, that you use the money to be spent on flowers or gifts for your family this Holiday.
