Obituary

Gordon Ray Inman passed from this world January 12th, 2020 at Centerpoint Hospital in Independence, Missouri. Gordon entered this world on February 20th,1931 in Kansas City, Mo.  He was number 3 of 5 children born to Ralph E. Inman and Loraine E. Inman (Phipps).

Gordon was a 1948 graduate of Central High School in Kansas City, Mo.  Gordon experienced a long career in retail sales and sales management, mainly at the Sears Plaza store.  He also owned a hardware store in Chanute, Kansas where many memories were created.In his later years, Gordon enjoyed carpentry, fishing, and renovating houses, mainly in the Waldo area. 

Gordon is survived by three sons, Steve (Gayle) Inman, David (Sandi) Inman and Doug (Kelley) Inman. His two daughters, Annette Rasmussen and Cheryl Chavez.He also leaves behind his brother Bill Inman and sister Donna Cooper; thirteen grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Gordon was preceded in death by his son Michael Gordon Inman; His one true love, ex-wife and mother of his six children, Marcella Inman (Manahan);  his parents, Ralph E. Inman and Loraine E. Inman (Phipps); and his brothers, Rolland Inman and Myron Inman.
