James “Jim” Petropoulos was granted his angel wings on September 4, 2019. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends that he had touched throughout his short, yet very memorable life.
Jim’s life would seem too short to many, but those who where touched by him understood the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives.
Jim worked for Co-Mo Connect. During his time at Co-Mo Connect he played a vital role in expansion of internet service in the lake area and was a vital part of many media broadcasts, including productions of both Lake Race and the Shootout.
Loved ones that cleared the path for Jim, are his mother Florence Petropoulos and his niece Christina Van Dyke. Loved ones that will miss Jim until they meet again are his wife Pamela Petropoulos; father David Petropoulos; daughter Jamie Petropoulos; step-son Joshua (Molly) Turner; step-daughter Amanda (Austin) Lee; sisters Debbie (Gary) Evans, Susan Carr, and Linda Petropoulos; Nephew/Nieces Scott (Jennifer) Evans, Eric Evans, Ryan (Amy) Van Dyke, David Van Dyke, Sandra Van Dyke, Melissa Carr, and Andrew Carr. He was a devoted papa to his 6 grandchildren; Elijah, Cole, Austin, Natalie, Mason, and Peyton.
A celebration of Jim’s life will be held on Sunday September 8, 2019 @ Ozark Chapel, 305 N. Main St Laurie, MO 65038. Visitation will be 12:30-2:00 pm. Service to follow.
There will be a celebration of life that will also be held at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf Ave Overland Park, KS on Friday, September 13, 2019 at 1 pm and at 2 pm there will be an inurnment of Jim's cremains in the indoor mausoleum at Johnson County Funeral Chapel.
