Ardith Etruda Hamilton age 86 of Fairway, Kansas passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at Manor Care in Overland Park, Kansas.
Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Prairie Baptist Church, 7416 Roe Ave., Prairie Village, Kansas. Private interment in Johnson County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call from 6-7:30 p.m. Friday, April 20, at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. The family suggests contributions to Prairie Baptist Church.
Ardith was born on May 22, 1920 in Binkleman, Nebraska and had lived in the Kansas City area since 1951. She married Lloyd D. Hamilton on November 16, 1940 and he preceded her in death in 1962. Ardith worked in the customer service department of Sears on the Plaza for more than 20 years. She had been a member of Prairie Baptist Church since 1967.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law Ardith Carol and Harold Hurst, Jr. of Leawood, Kansas, one granddaughter, Ardith Elaina Hurst and grandson H. Lee Hurst III and his wife Christine. Brothers, Merle Smith of California, and Richard Smith of Michigan and sisters, Virginia Rose of Arkansas and Doris Rose of California.
