Bruce Arndt

On May14th, 2021 Bruce Arndt passed away at age 68in his home in Overland Park, KS.  Bruce was born December 22nd, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to Eva and Russell Arndt.   He was preceded in death by this father Russell and his mother Eva and brother’s Charles and Paul.  He is survived by his nephew Derek in Texas and niece Jennifer in Maryland.

He graduated from Rosedale High School and worked for and retired from KC Southern Railroad after forty years of employment.

Bruce loved gardening and ponds which he helped build and enjoyed talking to the many hundreds of people who came to the annual KC Water Garden tour.  We are so grateful for the 61 years of friendship and joy we shared while gardening, having daily meals and holidays together.  We grew, we learned and we loved.   Truly a generous soul, Bruce made life more fun and by sharing his many smiles and jokes.

Bruce had a true passion for the KC Chiefs and collected Chiefs memorabilia.  He loved music, particularly the Beatles.   He was known for his quick wit, his infectious smile and his kind and compassionate spirit.

Private placement will be at Johnson County Memorial Gardens.

Farewell to our friend and loved one.   You will remain in the hearts and thoughts of all family and friends.  Goodbye for now, rest in peace.
