Caroline Johnson

April 12, 1930 — December 18, 2021

Caroline Covell Johnson passed away on December 18, 2021`.  She was born on April 12, 1930 to Karl Covell and Esther Appel Covell.  She was preceded in death by her brother John Covell.

She grew up in Edina, MN and attended West High and the University of Minnesota.  She married Warner Johnson on March 19, 1955, who passed away in 1996.

They had two children, Martha Murphy of Leawood, KS and Sarah Johnson of Palmyra, VA.  Son-in-Law Reed Murphy of Leawood, KS.  She had two grandchildren, John Murphy of Leawood, KS and Elizabeth Murphy of Leawood, KS.

Caroline was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Hopkins, MN.  She was a long time Sunday School teacher and volunteer.

She was an avid bridge player and enjoyed many activities with her friends, family, and grandchildren.

She moved to Overland Park, KS in 2019.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at Zion Lutheran Church, 241 5th Ave. N, Hopkins, MN  55343 at 10 a.m. with Funeral Service at 11 a.m.  Burial will follow in Elmhurst Cemetery.
