Cathy Dawn White

Cathy Dawn White, 63, of Overland Park, Ks passed away Sunday, April 5, 2026.

Cathy was born on May 17, 1962, in Kansas City, Missouri. She retired from Penn Valley Community College after working in the records department for 27 years. She lived in Overland Park for over 60 years. Cathy loved doing crossword puzzles and watching old movies.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, James J. White and Carolyn E. White. She is survived by her sister, Jana C. Richardson of Topeka, Ks; stepmother, Pat White of Overland Park, Ks; stepbrothers: Dennis Everett, Fred Everett, and Ed Everett (Chris); a step-niece and three step-nephews; two great step-nephews and one great step-niece; and two cousins, Mel DeSart (Faye) and Zane DeSart and sons.

The family wishes to express its thanks to Ignite Medical Resort for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Wayside Waifs or a charity of your choice. A joint Celebration of Life for Cathy and her mother, Carolyn, will be held on Sunday, May 17th from 1-3pm at Johnson County Funeral Chapel and Memorial Gardens, Overland Park, Ks.
