Constance L. “Connie” (Hatt) Jestmore, 92, passed away October 8, 2017. Connie was born Dec 26, 1924, in Toledo, Ohio to Malvina Marie (Brunell) Hatt and Conrad Hatt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Malvina Marie and Conrad Hatt; sisters Ruth Schultz and Margaret Henderson Provonsha.
Connie is survived by her husband of 73 years, Louis; son, Conrad (Donna); and daughter Cherri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The youngest of three girls, Connie left Ohio at the age of nineteen to marry her future husband, a Marine pilot stationed on the west coast.
Following World War II they had a son, Conrad and daughter, Cherri. As they moved throughout the central and southern plains, Connie spent time loving and nurturing her family, always there and encouraging them.
She was a member of the PTA, a Brownie leader, member of Bridge Club, Welcome Wagon, Young Matrons of Toledo, and a Sunday School teacher in Wichita.
In her later years she enjoyed flying and playing golf with Louis and being a team with him in the real estate business.
A memorial service will be held at noon on Oct 12, at Atonement Lutheran Church, 9948 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66212. A visitation will take place at 11 a.m. on Oct 12, at Atonement. A luncheon immediately follows the service.
