Olathe

With deep sadness, we share the passing of Danny Lee Duran, Jr. He passed away unexpectedly on June 1st, just after 9:00am.

Danny was born on December 8th, 1979 (41), in Loving, New Mexico. Danny was a devoted husband and father and is survived by his wife Emily, daughter Lille (12), and sons Beckham (9) and Kingston (7). #TheRoyal5 Danny is also survived by his parents Gloria Fuentez Duran and Anthony & Teresa Efestione. Danny will be fondly remembered by his brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, as well as extended family and friends.

Danny faithfully served our country as a Marine from 1998 - 2002. Danny and Emily were married on March 24, 2007 in Waxahachie, Texas.

Danny dedicated his life to loving and leading people to Jesus through 18 years of ministry at various churches, with his last 6 years at Life.Church Overland Park.

If you had the privilege of knowing Danny, you loved him. He never met a stranger and had a unique gift to be everyone’s best friend. He also passionately loved football and you could often hear him screaming Hook’Em Horns on Saturdays. After moving to Kansas City, he left his beloved Cowboys to cheer loudly for the World Champion Kansas City Chiefs!

Visitation will be on Sunday, June 6th, from 1:30pm to 3:00 pm at Life.Church Overland Park.

Danny will be honored in a celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 8th, at 10 am at Life.Church Overland Park, 9800 W. 135th Street, Overland Park, KS 66221

In lieu of flowers, a gofundme has been established to honor Danny's legacy and support his family as they walk through this valley.
