David J. Lewis

The family of David Jerome Lewis, 64, is saddened to announce his passing on November 24th, 2020.

David was born on October 18th ,1956 to Jerome Lewis and Jacqueline Romieux in Salisbury, North Carolina. David grew up in Sunnyvale, California and later moved to Kansas where he graduated Summa Cum Laude from Pittsburg State University with a degree in Computer Information Systems. David was a distinguished Database Architect and Software Engineer who genuinely enjoyed his work.

In his free time he could be found spending time with his daughters or participating in one of his many hobbies. He loved swimming with his Masters Club and shared his lifelong love of swimming with others through coaching and teaching swim lessons. He also loved golfing and riding his motorcycles and even found ways to continue these passions after having his left leg amputated in 2016. He will be remembered for his perseverance, kindness, and sense of humor.

David is survived by his three daughters, Tasha Markham, Alyssa Lewis, and Hillary Lewis; his brother Jeff Lewis; his sisters Becky Lewis and Linda Lewis; his nieces Jessica Young and Sarah Young, his nephew Josh Lewis, and his ex-wife and friend Lorraine Lewis. He is preceded in death by his brother Kelly Lewis and his nephew Aaron Lewis.
