Delos "Sam" Wedgwood

Delos “Sam” Wedgwood, 96, Overland Park, passed away October 31, 2019 in Overland Park.   Visitation will be from 1-2 pm Monday November 4, 2019 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS 66210.  A funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm at the chapel.  Burial will be in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.

Sam was born in Marshalltown, Iowa on February 8, 1923 to Benjamin O. Wedgwood and Mary Catherine Kearns Wedgwood.  He graduated from Marshalltown Iowa High School and from Business School in Des Moines, Iowa.   He served in the Army during World War II and worked for Amoco Oil for 31 years before retiring as a Marketing Analyst. Sam was preceded in death by his parents and nine brothers and sisters.   He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Darlene, and many nieces and nephews.  Memorial contributions in memory of Sam may be given to the ALS Foundation.
