Derek was born January 19, 1971, in Kansas City, MO.
He is survived by his parents, Jack Brustad and Marsha (Curt) Willyard; sister, Julie (Jeff) Parker; brother, Jared Brustad; two aunts, Sandra Longfellow and Vicki Groom; and three nephews, Jacob and Justin Parker and Collin Brustad.
A visitation for Derek will be held from 2:00 – 4:00 pm on Tuesday, June 18, 2013, at D.W. Newcomer's Sons – Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave, Overland Park, KS.
