Disaree CeCil "Ceesa" Fisher, age 71, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Kansas City Hospice House in Kansas City, Missouri.

Born on April 24, 1955, in Kansas City, Kansas, Ceesa was the beloved daughter of Lily W. Rucker and George W. Fisher, Jr. she graduated from Scotlandville High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and throughout her life remained grounded in her Christian faith. She loved attending church and found great joy in worshiping God alongside her church family.

Ceesa will be remembered as a woman with a kind and gentle spirit. She possessed a servant's heart and was always willing to help anyone in need, often putting others before herself without hesitation. Her kindness, compassion, and warm smile made people feel welcomed and loved. Whether she was preparing a meal for those she loved, traveling to experience new places, attending church, or simply enjoying time with family, Ceesa embraced each day with gratitude and generosity. Her greatest joy in life was her family.

Ceesa leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Darneka Rene Brooks; son-in-law, Monwell Brooks, and her granddaughter, Dominique JoAnn Brooks.

She is also survived by her sisters, Tony Marie Fisher, Arthur Jody Fisher, and Georgetta Fisher; half-brothers, Byron Fisher, Rodney Fisher, and Bruce Fisher; her half-sister, Tequea Fisher, her beloved nieces and nephews, Tony Mechae Fisher, Latasha Fisher, and Vincent Fisher; her great-nieces and great-nephews Aliviah Fisher, Mikilos Fisher, Thomas Fisher, Lillyanna Fisher, Malone Fisher, and JaMarion Fisher; along with a host of extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives were blessed by knowing her. Although our hearts grieve her passing, we rejoice in the hope of the resurrection through Jesus Christ. Ceesa's gentle spirit, servant's heart, and unwavering love for her family leave behind a legacy that will continue to bless all who knew her. She faithfully loved, generously served, and quietly reflected the compassion of Christ in countless ways. While she will be deeply missed, we find comfort in knowing she is at home with her Savior, hearing the words every faithful believer longs to hear:

"Well done, good and faithful servant...Enter into the joy of your Lord." -Matthew 25:23
