Mr. Don Ferrell

Don G. Ferrell, age 80, of Overland Park, KS, previously of the Springfield, MO area, died peacefully in his sleep on April 11, 2007, at Menorah Hospital in Overland Park.
He was born February 1, 1927, in Webster County, MO. Beginning in 1960 and until his retirement in 1992, he was an agent with State Farm Insurance. He was an active member of Brookridge Country Club and he served as president during 1975-76. Don served ten years on the Board of the Peter Marshall Golf Classic and several years on the board of the Ronald McDonald House. He was a member of the Unity Church of Overland Park.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances of Overland Park, KS; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jean Ann and Dave Galloway of Lenexa, KS and Jana and Mike Larmer of Monett, MO; two granddaughters, Michelle Wollberg and husband Joshua of Nixa, Mo and Kelli Larmer of Tulsa, Ok and his brother William K. Ferrell of Phoenix, AZ.
Visitation will be held at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Funeral Chapel 11200 Metcalf Overland Park on Friday evening, April 13 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial services will be held at Unity Church of Overland Park (103rd and Antioch) on Saturday, April 14 at 10:00 AM. Donations may be made to the Women's Auxiliary of the Salvation Army 3637 Broadway, Kansas City, MO 64111.
