Dorothy M. (Dot) Burks, 93, passed away July 24, 2017 at Sharon Lane Health Services from Congestive Heart Failure.
Dorothy was born on October 27, 1923 to Albert and Gertrude Budy in Kansas City, KS. She was the second of four daughters. Dot was a Rosie the Riveter in Kansas City and joined the Army in 1944. She married the father of her 3 children in 1946. She remarried in 1977 to Andre C. Burks and they were both active in the Good Sams Camping Club. Dorothy was a homemaker, loved gardening, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles, and reading.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Bob C. Blandin and Audre C. Burks; her two sisters; and her parents.
She is survived by her children: son, Thomas A. Blandin (Maureen), daughter, Diana Brown, and son, Dennis A. Blandin (Candi); 6 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Lillian Knoff.
