Evelyn Kelly Lutz

Evelyn M. Kelly Lutz passed away the morning of January 8, 2007 at her home in Raytown, Missouri at the age of 87.

Evelyn?s began life on November 15, 1919 in Canute, Oklahoma. She was the first daughter of Olin Lake Kelly and Cora A. Gowdy Kelly. Proudly raised in Elk City, Oklahoma, Evelyn graduated from Elk City High School. She was Miss Elk City and crowned Queen of the West at the Fort Worth Rodeo. Evelyn met George Lutz and they were married in January of 1945. Before and while she was married she worked as a business manager for the Oklahoma Gas Company. In 1961, she and George moved to Raytown, Missouri where they have lived since.

Love of family and sharing in their lives was Evelyn?s delight. Raising two boys Kelly and Kurt, kept Evelyn busy as a mom and wife. After Kelly?s marriage to Linda and Kurt?s to Jill, she took pleasure in having two daughters. Her grandkids loved Grandma Evelyn?s fun and playful spirit.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Fred Kelly. Survivors left with wonderful memories of Evelyn are her beloved husband of 62 years George Lutz of Raytown, Missouri. Kelly and Linda Lutz of Lee?s Summit, Missouri. Kurt and Jill Lutz of Olathe, Kansas. Grandchildren Kyle Lutz, Kelsey and Keegan Lutz. Sister Martha Ann Kelly of Plano, Texas. Sister Jane Motz of Scottsdale, Arizona.

Services will be held 10:00 AM, Saturday, January 13 at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf. Friends may call on the family one-hour prior to the service at the chapel. Burial in Johnson County Memorial Gardens.
