George Henry Myers, Jr.

George Henry Myers Jr was born in Minneapolis, MN on October 20th, 1936 to Myrtle and George Myers Sr. of Minneapolis, MN

He passed away peacefully on March 16th, 2024 at his home in Sun Lakes, AZ.

George lived an incredible life. He grew up around the Lake Minnetonka area attending Orono High School. He served in the Air Force in electronics and he was an accomplished musician who played trombone in Jazz bands touring the country after his military service. He followed his fathers footsteps into the X-Ray business and owned Northern X-ray in Minneapolis for over 30 years. He always loved the farming life and had a small farm just West of Lake Minnetonka until he decided to retire from the X-ray business. He moved to Emporia, KS and had a 3,000 acre ranch which kept him busy into retirement. He moved to Leawood, KS for awhile until settling in Sun Lakes, AZ on a golf course where he finished his years playing the game of golf that he loved. 

He is survived by his two sons, Christopher Myers – wife Rachael and Michael Myers – wife Brandi, Sister Dorthy Parks, Partner Shelia Axtman, six grandchildren – Christian Myers – wife Bobbie, Nicholas Myers, Crew Myers, Quin Myers, Carson Myers and Madison Myers and one great grandchild Ellie Myers.

He is preceded in death by his parents – George and Myrtle Myers, Sister Audry Ogland.

A celebration of life will take place in Overland Park, KS on May 17th, 2024. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to your favorite charity.
