Gertrude V. (Beaird) McCain, 92, of Olathe, KS and preciously from Kansas City, KS passed away, Thursday, November 8, 2012 at Poineed Ridge Retirement Community in Lawrence, KS. She was born February 2, 1920 in Kansas City, KS, the daughter of Archie and Gertrude (Gochenour) Dempsey and attended school in the Rosedale area. She married William John Beaird March 28, 1936 and he preceded her in death on September 7, 1952; from that marriage of 26 years they had four daughters.
She remarried L. Golden McCain in 1957 and together they lived in Excelsior Springs, Mo
