Helen Marie Pappas

Helen Marie Pappas, 61, passed away on May 23, 2025. Helen was born on December 25, 1963 to Margie and Louis Pappas at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. She graduated from Loretto High School in Kansas City in 1982. Helen began working at UPS and shortly after attended cosmetology school which she graduated from. Helen spent many years doing hair at a salon, in her home and for her children and friends. Helen also worked at Olathe Daily News for 10 years and was later a lunch lady at McLouth schools where her children attended. 

Helen stayed busy many years of her life chasing children and attending all of their sporting events and activities. Helen truly knew that it was more blessed to give than to receive. Her generosity knew no bounds. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother and a beautiful soul that would help anyone. Her radiant smile and kind heart would light up any room she entered.

Although Helen is gone, she will live in our hearts forever.

Helen is survived by her six children: Clayton Garrow and wife Dawn, Chase Garrow and wife Tara, Dylan Coleman, Shelbie Coleman, Dominique Haag and husband Walker and Dimitri Tullis; and 11 beautiful grandchildren she loved so much.
