Mr. Howard Gerstenberger

Howard W. Gerstenberger, 94, Olathe, passed away Monday January 29, 2007.
Howard was born in Blue Mound, Kansas on December 9, 1912. He earned five Bronze Stars while serving in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked for Russell Stover?s Candies for 47 years and was a general partner. He was active in the Kiwanis, YMCA and was an Elder for the Presbyterian Church.
He is survived by his sister Pearl Howerton, sons Allen (Jan) Gerstenberger, and Dean (Marta) Gerstenberger, six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorial Services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday February 1st at The Village Presbyterian Church 6641 Mission Road Prairie Village. Visitation will be 6PM ? 8PM Wednesday at D.W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel 11200 Metcalf. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to The Family Conservancy, 626 Minnesota Ave. Kansas City, KS 66101.
