Irene Rosette Barnes, age 89, of De Soto, KS passed away on September 5, 2014. Visitation will be from 12 – 1 pm on Friday, September 12, 2014 at the Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Ave., Overland Park, KS with funeral services beginning at 1 pm. Interment will follow in the Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens.
Irene was born January 22, 1925 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was married to Frank Barnes for 65 years. Irene was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Irene was preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Barnes Jr. and grandson Doug Thomas. Survivors include her 3 children, Larry Barnes, Linda (Bill) Thomas, and Patricia Barnes, four grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
