Jennifer "Jenn" Martin
1974 – 2025
Jenn Martin, a vibrant force of nature, passed away on July 14, 2025, at 7:00 PM, after facing the final stages of ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family up until the moment she took her final breath.
Jenn was one of those rare people you don’t just meet—you experience.
Jenn was magnetic. Whether you knew her for five minutes or five years, you walked away with a story, a laugh, and probably a few new opinions. She was a wife, a sister, a daughter, a friend, a confidante, a crisis manager, a style icon, and the person who always told you the truth—even if it was wrapped in a joke and served with a few choice swear words.
Jenn lived BIG. Never one to shrink into the background, she made the world her playground — traveling far and wide, collecting stories, friendships, and maybe too many fabulous clothes along the way.
A true original, Jenn had a flair for the bold and an unapologetic love for a well-designed tattoo every now and then. She was always thinking of the next pieces of her heart she wanted to literally "wear on her sleeve." Jenn was never interested in being "traditional" or "typical" — she found those labels boring, and boredom was simply not allowed in her orbit.
Part of her legacy is an inspiring story about second chances. It is one with messy plot twists and struggles but includes something she doubted at one point she would ever have...a home with a little family of her own.
As she has graduated this life, she leaves behind her husband Travis Martin, who knew from day one he had married a wildfire, not a flicker— her beautiful step-daughter, Lilly and her greatest treasure and little "Mini-Me", Davis.
She also leaves behind her strong belief that no one should ever settle for cold food. Ever. May we always carry a torch of boldness to advocate for hot, crispy French fries in her honor.
A celebration of Jenn’s one-of-a-kind life will be held August 2, 2-4 pm at Raintree Lake Duck Pond Activity Center, 111 SW Cole Younger Dr., Lees Summit, MO 64082. Come prepared to laugh, cry, and possibly hear some stories that are almost too wild to be true—but trust us, they are. Tears will be shed, and laughs will be encouraged—just as she would’ve wanted.
She is survived by her mother, Michelle Dietrich, her father, Jeff Davis, siblings: Gary Davis, Beth Fredlund, Jesse Hamer and stepsiblings: Joe Dietrich, Jordan Dietrich, Brian Bailey, and countless loving friends she would consider close family.
In lieu of flowers, Jenn would ask that you hug your people a little tighter, live a little louder, and absolutely NEVER take the ones you love or this life you have for granted.
