John Walker

John F. Walker, 82, of Overland Park, Kansas passed away Sunday, March 14, 2021.  The family will receive friends from 3-4pm Saturday, at Johnson County Funeral Chapel, 11200 Metcalf, Overland Park, Kansas follow by a service at 4pm.  Burial will be at a later date in Leavenworth National Cemetery.

John was born May 20, 1938 in Kankakee, Illinois living in Elkhart, Indiana most of his life before moving to Overland Park, Kansas to be with his daughters and their families.  He leaves his wife Rita M. Kilbride of 55 years.  They were married in Kankakee, Illinois on May 22, 1965.  He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1957-1961.  He worked in the Railroad industry for 30 years.

He also leaves two daughters; Lisa (Mike) Cherepak and Debbie (Jason) Lehtinen, son; Michael (Laura) Walker, sister; Janet McCarthy, grandchildren; Cydney, Justin, Caz, Bradley, Elise, Olivia, and Lydia.
