Jordan Johnson

December 19, 1980 — October 29, 2021

Olathe

Jordan William Johnson was born in Wichita, Kansas, on December 19, 1980, the first child of Lee and Donna Johnson. He grew up on a small farm outside Caldwell, Kansas, where he learned to hunt and fish, as well as acquiring a solid work ethic working for farmers. After graduating from Caldwell High School, he attended Emporia State University, where he graduated with a degree in Spanish, with honors.

Jordan began his career with the Overland Park Police Department in 2006. That career included service as a front-line Patrol Officer, a Detective, a Precision Rifle Operator, and a member of the Community Policing Unit. He was most recently investigating financial crimes.

In January of 2009, Jordan married Erin, and together they have one child, Olivia. He loved spending time with family and friends, but he also enjoyed all things outdoors: camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing. Jordan was an excellent impersonator and will be remembered for his funny voices and generally for his sense of humor.

Jordan passed away on October 29, 2021, survived by his wife, Erin; his daughter, Olivia; his parents, Lee and Donna; and his sister, Jennifer. His passing will leave a void in the hearts and memories of not only his family, but his many good and true friends. Jordan’s Celebration of Life, open to family and friends, will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at 1:30pm at Life Church, 9800 W. 135th Street, Overland Park, KS 66213. In lieu of flowers, the family is suggesting contributions to Olivia's college fund which is being established so please make any checks out to Erin Johnson.
