Joyce R. Fowler, 89, of Prairie Village, KS, died Sunday, July 30, 2017 at The Forum from pancreatic and liver cancer. Memorial services will be 2 PM Saturday August 5 at Christ Church Anglican 5500 W. 91st St. Overland Park KS 66207. Inurnment will be in Disciples Garden at the Church. Reception immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to PastorServe PO Box 27123, Shawnee Mission KS, 66225 or Christ Church Anglican.
Joyce was born in 1928 in Champaign, Il. She moved to Kansas City and graduated from Southwest High School, 1945. She attended MU at Columbia and was a Gamma Phi Beta. She married Don D. Fowler July 19, 1947. Joyce worked for the IRS as a tax examiner. She loved her family and was preceded in death by her husband. Joyce is survived by her daughter Lynne Boeschen and her husband, Phil, and their 10 Exchange Students; her son, the Rev. Jay Fowler and his wife, Janine; and 3 grandchildren: Nate, Whitney, and Madeline Fowler.
