Kenneth W. Manion

Kenneth William Manion, 66, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully at his home February 12, 2023. He was born on October 5, 1956 in Topeka, KS to William Manion and Carol Skinner Manion.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Cheryl, his parents Bill & Carol Manion, and sister Joyce Sheridan and her husband, as well as a niece and nephew and several cousins.

Ken was a graduate of Silver Lake High School, Silver Lake, Kansas and attended Mid-America Nazarene University and later transferred to Fort Hays State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree.

Ken was a kind, quiet, man who was strong in his Christian faith. Music was a vital part of Ken’s life. He especially enjoyed singing tenor in the choir at Shawnee Church of the Nazarene in Shawnee, Kansas and in the Heritage Choir at MidAmerica Nazarene College.

Ken’s career was centered around Tax Accounting, and he was employed at the Wilbert Memorials Company at the time of his passing. Ken had a love for crunching numbers.

Ken’s other interests included a love for animals, nature, and traveling to the Ozarks with Cheryl and their friends, he also liked to do household repairs.

Ken was a loving husband and he and Cheryl were married May 25, 1991. He was a kind and generous Christian man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Visitation will be from 10-11am on Monday, February 20, at Shawnee Church of the Nazarene, with services beginning at 11am.  Inurnment will be held at 3pm at Johnson County Memorial Gardens, Indoor Mausoleum.
