Kristi Lynn Sargent of Overland Park, KS passed away on September 15, 2023, at the age of 40. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Gerald Burns and Robert Sargent and great-grandparents Robert and Elenor Hurley, Lewis and Dorothy Burns. Kristi leaves behind her loving family. Mother Kim Sargent, father Bob Sargent (Connie), grandmothers Ginger Burns and Judy Sargent, siblings Kelli Nemechek (Jacob), Makenzi Sargent, Alex Silva, significant other Cody Farmer (and his daughter Navah Fay), uncles Kevin Burns and Kraig Burns, cousins Megan Burns and Michael Burns (Jenny), and her nieces and nephews Rylee, Ryder, Lennon, Redding and Maverick. She will also be missed by countless extended relatives and friends she considered family.
Kristi was born November 16, 1982, and grew up in Olathe, KS. Her love for dance, fashion and interior design started at a young age. She also enjoyed softball, cheerleading and drill team while growing up. After graduating from Olathe South High School, Kristi went on to get a Bachelor of Science degree in Apparel and Textile Marketing with a minor in Business Administration at Kansas State University. She was a creative entrepreneur who followed her dream of opening a fashion truck, which eventually became The Jeweled Gypsy. She was very passionate about the business, which led to several pop-up shops around Kansas City. She found joy in traveling, hiking, live music, happy hours, and spending time at the lake or on a beach. She loved being a bonus mom to Navah Fay and dog mom to Charlie.
Kristi was a cherished daughter, granddaughter, sister, and friend. She was selfless, generous, fun-loving, and always up for an adventure. She had a vivacious personality and would light up every room she entered. Kristi will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
