Kristin T. Wray

Kristin Therese Wray, 36, of Overland Park, KS passed away peacefully on July 8, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Shawnee, KS, on December 31, 1987. She is survived by her parents Michael and Susan Wray (Caldwell) and sisters Ashlyn Wray and Courtney Keene (Wray). She graduated from Blue Valley West High School in 2006.

Kristin had an uncanny ability to connect with people in a deep and positive way. Her spirit was always motivated by her desire to see other people happy. During her time as a Certified Nurse's Assistant, she enjoyed caring for people and hoped to one day be a nurse. In her quest to make everyone feel and look beautiful, Kristin was a talented makeup artist. She developed a love for cooking as an aspiring chef whose unforgettable meals always had an extra spice of her creativity. She was a devoted sports enthusiast, always cheering on her hometown KC Chiefs and Royals. Her sense of humor and laid-back personality made her a delight to be around. She tackled adversity in her life with a smile and was the “Wray of Sunshine” for all blessed with her presence. In all of life's opportunities, Kristin had truly lived to the fullest and showed everyone the simple pleasures of life, happiness and love.

While our hearts mourn the loss, Kristin taught us to find joy in life and to share it with others. The family asks that you do the same - go out and do something that brings you real joy and share it with those around you. A celebration of life will occur with details to be determined.
