Mr. Leonard Ashley

Leonard Dale Ashley, age 88, Overland Park, KS passed away on the 2nd of September 2014, at Kansas City Hospice House.
Mr. Ashley was born January 30 1926 in Kansas City Kansas. He was an example of the American dream a poor boy from Kansas City who paid for college by his service in the Navy and rose in business till he was the President of Vita Craft Corporation.
He traveled the world with his Wife and friends making new friends along the way with his winning smile. He was a loving, and caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ona B. Ashley and Edward V. Ashley, and his loving wife Elizabeth Ashley.
Dale is survived by his three daughters Ona Ashley, Nina Ashley, and Trina Fitzgerald, his grandchildren Alexandra Davis, Ona Pitts, Jason Ashley, Ashley and Patrick Poe, and Thomas and Tyler Fitzgerald and his four great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions to St. Pius X Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00am on the 8th of September 2014 at St. Pius X Church 5500 Woodson Mission KS 66202. Visitation will be 6:00pm on the 7th of September 2014 at St. Pius X with a rosary at 7:30.
