Linda Irene Pappas, 84, entered into the presence of the Lord on July 3, 2026.
Linda was born on January 22, 1942, in Kansas City, Missouri, to John and Irene Linville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Charles; her sister, Elaine; and her beloved husband, John J. Pappas.
She is survived by her son, Michael Pappas (Christine) of Wichita, Kansas; her cherished grandchildren, Alexis and Brayden; her sister, Rose Soulis of Shady Hills, Florida; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Linda and John were married and made their home in Overland Park, Kansas, where they lived for nearly 50 years. She was a devoted member of Saint Dionysius Orthodox Church in Overland Park and later attended Saint George Orthodox Christian Cathedral in Wichita after relocating there in retirement.
Linda retired after 34 years as a Customer Service Manager with Field House in Overland Park. She was also a talented florist and enjoyed creating beautiful flower arrangements and handcrafted gifts through her own small business for many years.
Following retirement, Linda and John moved to Wichita to be closer to their son and his family. Family was the center of Linda's life, and she treasured every moment spent with them.
In her retirement, Linda found joy in gardening, working on puzzles, and cheering on her grandchildren at their sporting events. She rarely missed a game and was known for being one of the loudest and most enthusiastic fans in the stands. Even as her health declined in recent years, she continued to watch as many games as possible online, always encouraging and supporting Alexis and Brayden from home.
Linda delighted in celebrating every milestone, big or small, and loved spoiling her grandchildren with treats and thoughtful surprises. She was incredibly proud of the young people they had become, and her love for them was unwavering. Her kindness, generosity, creativity, and deep devotion to her family will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Funeral service information will be announced at a later date. Services will be held at St Dionysios Greek Orthodox Church.
