M. Maxine ?Lindy? Conway, 83 of Overland Park, Kansas passed away Christmas night 2006.
She was born on February 23rd 1923 and raised on her father?s farm in Topeka Kansas. She is a graduate of Topeka Business School. She was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family greatly. She was married to her husband John Conway for 57 years and has been his number one care giver since 1997 when John suffered a stroke.
She is survived by her husband John, son John, daughter Jana Wood, sister Phyllis Hicks, brother-in law George Hicks, nephew George Hicks Jr., nieces Margaret Ann Williams and Jennie Hicks, daughter-in law Cherie Conway, son-in law Don Wood, 3 grandsons, Chris, Zach and Connor, two step-grandsons Nicholas and Kristopher Wood.
She is now in the right hand of the Lord to take care of her on her new journeys.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that all donations be made to The American Stoke Foundation, 6800 West 93rd Street, Overland Park, Kansas 66212.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 29th 2006 at D. W. Newcomer?s Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf Avenue. Family and close friends are welcome at 1:00 pm for a final goodbye. Please take a moment to visit the Enduring Memories Booth to create a personal remembrance for the family that they will cherish for years to come.
